Combine strategic vision and technical mastery on each project
Our work included the installation of several temporary Berlin wall retaining structures. For the Berlin walls, various support systems were used, including a combination of props and rock anchors, as well as prop belts up to 5 levels high and 14 meters deep. One of the retaining walls was constructed using a combination of piles and sheet piles, ensuring optimal stability. In addition, a secant wall was constructed, comprising 4 levels of props and reaching a depth of 17.6 meters.
A job done according to the rules of the art
The scale of the work involved the installation of over 5,500 m² of retaining walls, more than 220 rock anchors, 10 pairs of sheet piles, and over 200 HP driven piles. The secant wall was constructed from 35 W24 x 104 main piles.
The William Retention Basin plays a key role in stormwater management by collecting rainwater during intense weather events, preventing sewer overflows and backups into the river. It also helps support sewer network capacity in a growing area.
Thanks to our expertise in advanced support systems, we contributed to the creation of this sustainable and essential infrastructure for the urbanization of Montreal.
