Bicycle and pedestrian path linking the towns of Oka and Mont-Saint-Hilaire

CBF Drilling had the opportunity to participate in the construction of a unique cycle path in North America, running along Highway 132 and crossing the towns of Oka and Mont-Saint-Hilaire. This major project is part of the Greater Montreal Green and Blue Network initiative, resulting from the Metropolitan Land Use and Development Plan (PMAD).

Combine strategic vision and technical mastery on each project

One of the major challenges of this infrastructure lay in its 1.7 km pile-supported section, built along the St. Lawrence River, where space was extremely limited between the highway and the shoreline. This context required the application of innovative drilling techniques, adapted to the site's geotechnical constraints.

A job done according to the rules of the art

To meet this challenge, Forage CBF installed 481 bored piles, ensuring optimal stability despite the difficult ground conditions. The use of specialized equipment made it possible to work efficiently, even in the steeply sloping areas along the embankment leading to the river. In total, more than 12,000 meters of bored piles were installed as part of the project, some reaching lengths exceeding 25 meters, providing unparalleled speed and efficiency of execution.

Thanks to our expertise in deep foundations and innovative drilling techniques, we were able to successfully complete this complex project, ensuring speed, precision and sustainability for a green infrastructure that will benefit future generations.
